IronClad Clover + Chicory
Driftless Hunt & Habitats food plot mix is specially formulated with high quality clovers and chicory that will be sure to bring in the does and BUCKS! With proper planting and maintenance, this mixture will last for years. Foundation for any quality deer management plan.
Why This 4-Clover + Chicory Blend Stands Out:
Soil Nitrogen Fixation: Clovers actually "make" their own nitrogen and pump it into the soil, acting as a natural fertilizer for your next rotation.
Diverse Palatability: With four types of clover, something is always "tasty" regardless of the temperature. Some clovers thrive in heat, while others stay green under the snow.
Drought-Defying Chicory: The Chicory in this mix acts as insurance. While clover can go dormant in a dry summer, the chicory taproot goes deep to find water and stay green.

How to Plant
Frost Seeding: This is a "set it and forget it" pro move. Broadcast the seed over honeycombed, frozen ground in late winter. The natural "heaving" of the soil as it thaws will perfectly pull the clover seed to the 1/8" depth it needs.
Standard Planting: Ensure a very firm seedbed. If you walk across it and your boot sinks in past your sole, it’s too soft. Roll it, seed it, then roll it again.
| Feature | Requirement |
| Sun Requirement | Full Sun to Partial Shade. (Versatile for fields or trails). |
| Soil pH | 6.2 – 7.0. Clovers love "sweet" soil; lime is your best friend here. |
| Planting Depth | 1/8" deep. These are tiny seeds—do not bury them. |
| Seeding Rate | 5 lbs covers approximately 1/2 to 3/4 acre. |
| Longevity | 3–5 Year Perennial. (With proper mowing and maintenance). |
